Cognitive and speech disorders in patients with hemiparetic form of childhood cerebral palsy

Aim . To assess cognitive and speech functions in patients with cerebral palsy their relationship the location of pathological focus gender. Material methods We examined 125 children aged 7-9 years a final diagnosis palsy, hemiplegic form (G80.2). The were divided into 2 groups depending on hemispheric focus. Group I consisted 72 left-sided hemiparesis (LHP), 33 girls 39 boys. II 53 right-sided (RHP), 23 30 control group included practically healthy (16 boys 14 girls) without neurological pathology an average age 7.3±1.5 years. Results discussion Children LHP more often had disturbances tempo prosodic characteristics (43.7%). rate was disturbed 33.8% children, narrative - 14.1%. These disorders are called "right cortical dysarthria". Counting noted 4.2% children. In RHP, violations expressive stated: "monologic" 88.7%, "dialogical" 86.8%, "automated" 17.0% patients, not fluent 66.0%, slow 64.2%. Conclusion results study indicate high degree correlation impaired severity structural changes MRI brain. significantly differ from corresponding indicators side sex. Determination evoked potentials makes it possible to obtain additional information about status lateralization lesion.
